Camp Parent Information
Before the camp season, we send a series of information emails to camp families to prepare parents and campers for their MDC experience. For those who registered after the emails were sent, or can’t find the information we sent, here are the emails:
Email #1 – Parent Info Handbook
Email #2 – Swim Information and Swim Level Questionnaire
Email #3 – Meals at Mooredale
Email #4 – Authorized Pick Up Information
Email #5 – Before and After Care Options
Email #6 – Final Reminders
Email #1 Parent Information Handbook
The start of June means the countdown to camp is officially on!
Today’s email has our Parent Info Guide attached. In it, you will find a variety of important information that will prepare you, and your camper(s), for camp.
For example, you can find a list of what to bring to camp on page 7, notes about our lunch program on page 11, and information about our special camp days on page 14.
Email #2 Swim Information
Swimming is one of our favourite parts of Mooredale Day Camp, and it is part of what makes us so special. We are proud to offer Red Cross swimming lessons taught by our qualified Mooredale swim instructors, which take place in our private, heated 25m pool.
In order to ensure that your child is in the safest and most appropriate swim level, our swim instructors will evaluate every camper’s swimming ability during their first swimming lesson.
However, in order to help have your child placed in the correct level from the start, please fill out the following swim form. (You will need to submit the form once per each child). The form can be found here: https://forms.gle/gKWEoerHtiVoU1119
In the event that your child will be completing swim lessons between June 13 and their first day of camp, please fill out the form with their current swim information. You can then email assistant_director@mooredale.on.ca at a later date, with any updated swim level information.
Email #3 – Meals At Mooredale
Today’s email is all about food at camp.
We are excited to be working with The Lunch Mom again this summer to bring tasty, home-cooked meals to camp. Each day, we provide lunch and two snacks, which are included in the camp fee. Attached, you can find the July and August menus.
Just as a reminder: For families with children who have dietary restrictions or food allergies, we take these needs very seriously. As such, we refer to the information in your camper’s medical form, which you would have filled out upon registration. If you have any questions or concerns about this form, please do not hesitate to reply to this email, and we will make sure everything is ready to go.
Email #4 – Pickup Authorization Information
Today’s email is short but important!
As part of our focus on caper safety, we will only send campers home with those who are registered on the camper’s authorized pick up list. You would have filled this form out upon completing registration. By default, both parents listed on a camper’s file are included on the authorized pick up list. To view who is on your authorized list, or to add/ remove people from the list at any time, please follow the steps outlined below.
Additionally, please note that we may ask to see photo ID as a part of our pick up process. Again, we do this for the safety of all of our campers. We ask that you notify others who are registered to pick up your child, that they should bring their photo ID on days they are on pick-up duty.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns about our pick-up process.
Steps to view/edit pickup authorization:
Step 1– Log into your online account at mooredale.campbrainregistration.com
Step 2– Under “View My Registrations”, click “View Details” for the camp session
Step 3– Under the “Forms” section, click “Update Household Information”
Step 4– Make changes to the Authorized Pickup section as necessary
