Virtual Camp Information & FAQs

We are excited to be offering a version of Mooredale Day Camp – Virtually again as part of our camp programming for 2021 !

Each day a specialized counsellor will lead your child through the week’s curated camp-in-a-box activities live via zoom.

Camp-in-a-box is designed to engage your child in classic Mooredale fun. Your child will get to experience a sample of most of the activities experienced in a typical Mooredale Day Camp day over the course of the week. It comes with instructions and supplies needed for each activity, a personalized letter, additional non-live activities and supplies to keep each camper busy.

Live camp occurs over the zoom platform from 10:00 am -11:00 am every day.
Boxes can be picked up or delivered. Boxes are to be picked up from Mooredale House Wednesday – Friday 2:00pm – 5:00 pm the week before camp or it may be delivered within a 40km radius from Mooredale House for a $10.00 fee.

New for Summer 2021 – A months’ worth of boxes ready at any time ! If you are heading up to the cabin or out of town, we can arrange to have a whole month of camp-in-a-box ready prior to your departure.

Afternoon Specialized Programming

We invite campers to also take part in afternoon activities ! These programs are available for an additional fee and are easily added to camper registration. All resources required for the class will be added in your camp-in-a-box.

For the past 5 years, Mlle. Juliana has had the pleasure of creating and running the Frenchtastique Summer Program at Mooredale. This program is great for students who would like to continue and maintain their French language skills throughout the summer as well as anyone who is starting a French Immersion program in September. Tuesdays we focus on French language, vocabulary and speaking, Wednesdays are creative art days and Thursdays are show and share.

Private French Tutoring

$37.00/30 minutes or $68.00/Hour

Mlle. Juliana is excited to share her love of the French language through private one to one lessons. Mlle. Juliana will tailor her teaching to each individual student.

1 on 1 Tutoring

$35.00/30 minutes or $68.00/Hour
Instructor: Teachers on Call

Interested in fun and interactive online learning from the comfort of your home or cottage? Teachers on Call provides personalized 1-on-1 tutoring by professional OCT Teachers in all subjects and grades for students from K to 12. Online learning and enrichment is offered for Reading, Writing & Numeracy skills, Math, Science, English and more. Sessions are customized to level of student and start with convenient 30-minute slots to capture the attention of young minds. To ensure the best match, there is a thorough orientation call to select a tutor who is the right fit for your child.

One Bowl Baking

$22.00 per class 4+ years
Instructor: Pastry Chef, Rita Giallonardo (Windsor Arms Hotel, featured in HELLO! Magazine and mom to Mooredale’s Mlle. Juliana)

Rita is excited to share her passion for pastry with the Rosedale Moore-Park community. Students will take part in creating delicious, home-style treats paired with a secret list of ingredients which will allow students to continue to recreate and perfect these recipes at home. Students will learn several fundamental skills such as: measuring, pouring, stirring, spreading, following a recipe, etc. Chef Rita will experiment with vegan, gluten-free, no-bake and traditional home-style baking recipes, all in one or two bowls.
