Teammate Request Policy

Mooredale will allow only a like for like teammate request.  If requested at the time of registration, Mooredale will make every effort to accommodate placement on a team with ONE other registered player.  Only one request will be accepted and will be considered only if both players request one another.

Such a teammate request must be made in writing, in an email to the sports manager (sports@mooredale.on.ca), and will not be accepted over the phone.

Requests will not be granted after March 29 (for the spring season) and September 1 (for the fall season).

Mooredale Flag Football runs seasons in both the spring (April - May) and the fall (September - November) at local De La Salle College's turf field.  We offer divisions from U8 up through to U16.  Flag Football is our second largest program here at the club.

By registering for this Mooredale Sport activity, I agree to pay Mooredale for the annual Mooredale Membership Fee by VISA or MasterCard.  For more information contact Membership Registrar, Catherine Loeffler at cloeffler@mooredale.on.ca or call 416-922-3714 ext 102 between 9am and 5pm.

Typical Week in Mooredale FALL Flag Football

U8 - Learn to Play

Players will have one 60-minute session per week (Sundays).  Coaches will instruct players on basic football skills (e.g. catching, throwing, basic offence and defence) through drills and games.  Players will get the opportunity to play in game situations, but the focus of the program is on introducing skills to players.

U10, U12, U14, U16

Players have one 75-minute session per week (Sundays).  Teams have 60 minutes set aside for game play, with a bonus 15 mins to be used as either warm-up time, or to extend the game time.

NEW for 2018 is our U16 division!

Combine Day

Combine Day provides our technical staff with the opportunity to assess the players in the league, so we can create player ratings.  These ratings are for our internal use only - which we use to try and create balanced divisions so games can be competitive for everyone.  We encourage all players - whether new to the league or returning - to attend Combine Day so we can have a good picture of the divisions before we begin the rostering process.

Coaching

Technical Staff / Referees

Our Flag Football Technical Staff members bring with them a great deal of experience in the sport.  Many participate in leagues run through their university or participated in them in the past, and some are Mooredale Flag Football alumni!

Our Technical Staff members will run the U8 Learn to Play program, and serve as referees during the U10, U12, U14, and U16 games.

Volunteer Coaches

Our volunteer coaches are an integral part of our Flag Football program, and we are always looking for more individuals to help us out.  If you're interested in coaching in the league this season, be sure to select the option when registering your child, or contact us at sports@mooredale.on.ca

Mooredale SPRING Flag Football

Following the success and growth of our Fall program, we introduced a Spring season in 2018 for the first time.  We are planning to offer this again in 2019, and expect registration to open in late December 2018/early January 2019.  Check back then for all the details!
