Greeting all MSC members! After an unexpected 7 week absence... I'm baaack!!
So... first off, a big hats off to all those who have been helping with the maintenance of our clubhouse and grounds. Mucho Gracias!!

With the warm weather finally here and our white sail classes entering the last round of training, it's time again to put out a call for volunteers in order for us to take care of a few needed projects.  We still have over half the season to enjoy and our regatta is just around the corner so we would like to spruce up our little lakeside getaway for the remainder of the season.

For those wishing to help, here it is.
On Saturday July 18, 2009 starting at 10AM, we will be taking on an exterior makeover of the grounds.

With this in mind I would like about 3 or 4 people to volunteer as "team leaders" in order to take on and complete a task or group of tasks. Here is a quick breakdown of what we're thinking for the day with a complete job listing available on the workday:
  • Picnic tables - repaired / sanded / painted
  • Decks (back / BBQ / front entrance) - sanded / painted
  • Work Shed West Wall - sanded / painted
  • Firewood Area - cut and chop wood into useable pieces / discard bad wood
  • Does anyone have a chainsaw they could bring and volunteer?
  • Change Room - benches in change stalls
  • Clean walls under back awning

For all those who show up and volunteer, we'll be having a lunch in the afternoon around 2PM and for all the new white sail members this is your opportunity to get involved and meet some new people.... like me!!
