Rep Development Program

Rep Development Program (RDP) has been created with the new Long Term Player Development (LTPD) standards passed down from Sport Canada,Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) and Ontario Soccer Association (OSA).   In the RDP we have created a program that will benefit all of the families and players looking for a higher challenge in our club.

In the summer of 2013 we rolled out the program to great success it has now expanded and in 2014/15 it will include u7-u11 boys and girls that wish to be in a competitive environment.  We start with a fall evaluation period over three weeks that encompasses practices and scrimmages (this has taken the place of try-outs).  This general call for any player to come is in the fall (this is for the entire yet, not just the indoor portion of the year).  Any player that misses the Evaluation Period, may come and participate in a 2-week trial during the course of the year, please contact Christopher for information on this.

We will be taking up to 20 players at the U8 group, 24 at the u9, 24 at u10, and 32 at u11 age groups into each pool.  During the winter, we will train 2x's per week at Monarch Park Dome, and on the weekends play intra-RDP tournaments amongst ourselves.  The commitment is 3 days per week.  For families unable to commit to all three days, we like them to do at least 2 of the 3 days.  We know this does not always work out and we now have added the Indoor Academy (this is Thursday night and is for those who are not in RDP).

During the outdoor portion of the season the pools of players will then take on other clubs throughout the summer (clubs such as Leaside, North Toronto, SC Toronto, etc) and the travel commitment will be very small in the outdoor season.

The Jr. RDP Program will be for u6 and u7 players that we have identified through our house league (more information on the JR. RDP Program Click Here).  The Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) will not allow u6/7 players to play in the competitive festival/leagues and we agree.  These players should receive additional training, but enjoy the recreational aspect of the game.  We do not want to burn children out playing competitive soccer.   We do have an indoor house league available in the winter (two sessions, Fall and Winter, so sign up now!)

Games

Festival format for U8 RDP Boys/Girls groups Saturday mornings. Starting May 24 through September 6 (Boys and Girls in the RDP will play intrasquad matches when festival play is not occuring)

U9/10 Boys and Girls will be playing in the TSA Youth League.

U6/7 Will play in the house league.

For 2014 we are having 'Select' teams as part of the RDP pool.  These teams will practice with the RDP Team playing in the Official TSA League/Fesitval Circuit.  They will play in two festivals as a team, but will participate in the house league the rest of the season.  They will not have a commitment of July/August.
