Outdoor Hockey Weekly Wrap Up

Week 3 of the Regular Season [Jan 29]

Another week down, another set of games in the books for the Mooredale Outdoor Hockey Program.

The week started off with an unfortunate cancellation of Monday's Hockey sessions due to the rink being filled with liquid water instead of the usual frozen ice, after an unseasonably warm weekend, filled with rain!

With the program returning on Wednesday, the U9s brought the heat with a goal bonanza that ended with a Bruins victory.

Following the U9 game the U14s once again took the ice for their weekly practice sessions. With Coach Carl taking the kids through some fun activities and games, the teams were able to practice a wide array of skills inside a few fun and challenging drills before moving into the scrimmages.

As Thursday night arrived, it was another great day of games as the U11 Maple Leafs and U14 Maple Leafs both had their double headers. In a close first battle, the U11 Bruins took the first W of the night with the U11 Canadiens following that.

The U14 division proved to be a thrilling night of games as the Maple Leafs got the best of the U14 Bruins. After a tremendous first effort, the U14 Maple Leafs weren’t able to hold the perfect record for the night as the U14 Canadiens earned the W over the Leafs in an exhilarating end to the game.
