Everyone Into the Aquarium!

What a great way to return to camp after a long weekend!  We loaded up two busses and made our way down to the amazing Ripley's Aquarium.

Our campers spent the day looking at different fresh and saltwater creatures from Ontario, Canada and around the world.  Ripley's has made their entire aquarium interactive so campers could watch slow motion videos of archer fish, touch live rays, make a robotic shark chomp on an iron ball, and weigh themselves to find out how much they would be worth if they were a tuna.  At $18/lbs, some of our campers are quite valuable!

We took time to have a picnic lunch near the cafeteria, and then spent the afternoon checking out the lifecycle of jellyfish, watching a diver feed a tank full of rays, took pictures with the seadragons, and rode the automatic sidewalk through the huge shark tank.  It sure was cool to see the different sharks, fish and turtles right up close!

After navigating home through the the downtown construction, we arrived back at Mooredale for a snack and Round Up.  Great day everyone!
